BIG THIEF
Seulement quelques mois après la sortie du somptueux U.F.O.F., les Américains de Big Thief sortent un nouvel album intitulé Two Hands sur 4AD. Dès leur signature sur le label anglais, le groupe indiquait avoir assez de titres pour deux albums et de surcroît avec un plan bien précis en tête : un premier éthéré relatif à l’inconnu, aux cieux, aux aliens et nourri par les possibilités offertes en studio (U.F.O.F) et un second enregistré dans des conditions plus live et brutes (Two Hands).

Adrianne Lenker, Sängerin und Gitarristin der amerikanischen Indie-Folk-Band arbeitet in der Musik ihre schwierige Kindheit auf. Ihre persönlichen Songs und ihre fragile Stimme schaffen es, eine intime Atmosphäre zwischen Hörer und Band herzustellen, die wie kaum eine andere Gruppe für zelebrierte Melancholie steht.
